CIVIL Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Civil Engineer to support a wide range of civil engineering projects. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer looking to grow within a consulting environment and gain hands-on experience in design, permitting, field work, and project coordination.

You will work closely with Professional Engineers and Project Managers on commercial, residential, and institutional projects, contributing to both technical design and project delivery. This position offers strong mentorship, increasing responsibility, and exposure to all phases of project development.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assist in the development of site layout plans, grading plans, ADA ramp designs, stormwater management systems, and utility connection drawings.

  • Perform civil engineering calculations and assist with the preparation of technical reports and permit applications.

  • Support zoning research, permitting processes, and coordination with local municipalities and utility providers.

  • Participate in field investigations, including site inspections, construction observations, and coordination with surveyors.

  • Coordinate with other disciplines (civil, structural, geotechnical, environmental) on multi-discipline projects.

  • Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for quality control and constructability.

  • Assist with project schedules, task tracking, and communication with internal teams.

  • Prepare and modify drawings using AutoCAD and perform document review and markups using Bluebeam.

  • Attend client meetings, agency meetings, and internal project reviews as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

  • 3–5 years of experience in civil engineering design or consulting.

  • EIT certification preferred or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.

  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.

  • Familiarity with stormwater management, grading, utilities, and land development projects.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a project team.

Work Environment

This position is primarily work-from-home, with periodic field work and site visits required. Proximity to the Philadelphia area is required to support site inspections, client meetings, and construction observations.

Structural Engineer

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to support a wide range of building and infrastructure projects across commercial, residential, institutional, and governmental sectors. This role is well-suited for an engineer with a solid technical foundation who is ready to take on increasing responsibility in a consulting environment and contribute meaningfully to project delivery.

You will work closely with Professional Engineers and Project Managers, supporting structural analysis, design, and coordination from concept through construction. The position offers hands-on involvement in all phases of project development, strong mentorship, and the opportunity to grow toward licensure and project leadership.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the analysis and design of structural systems, including gravity and lateral load-resisting systems for buildings and structures.

  • Prepare structural calculations and design documentation in accordance with applicable building codes and standards.

  • Develop and modify structural drawings and details using AutoCAD; assist with coordination of drawings across disciplines.

  • Support the preparation of structural reports, design narratives, and technical memoranda.

  • Participate in site visits, existing-condition assessments, construction observations, and coordination with contractors.

  • Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs for conformance with design intent.

  • Coordinate with civil, geotechnical, architectural, and MEP disciplines on multi-discipline projects.

  • Assist with quality control reviews to ensure accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.

  • Support project schedules, task tracking, and internal coordination with the project team.

  • Attend client meetings, coordination meetings, and internal design reviews as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.

  • 3–5 years of experience in structural engineering design or consulting.

  • EIT certification preferred or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.

  • Working knowledge of structural analysis and design software; strong proficiency with AutoCAD.

  • Familiarity with building materials such as steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.

  • Understanding of applicable building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, etc.).

Residential Structural Engineer

We are currently seeking a Professional Structural Engineer to provide residential structural inspections, including site survey, design, construction documentation, special inspections, and construction administration for residential building structures. Projects will include new Construction, renovations and residential buildings.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare reports, designs, and drawings

  • Calculate pressures, loads, and stresses and select construction materials

  • Monitor contractor work and inspect properties. • Utilize CAD for simulation purposes

  • Proficient with the google app suite

  • Design structures with common structural materials (structural steel, concrete, masonry, wood)

Qualifications:

  • 5- 10 years experience in Commercial and Residential Structural Engineering

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering

  • PE License Required

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Google Docs and MS Office (Word, Excel)

  • Knowledge of BIM/REVIT

  • Knowledge of at least one Finite Element Analysis program (Enercalc, STAAD, RAM, RISA, etc.)

  • Knowledge of IBC, IRC, ASCE-7, AISC, ACI-318, NDS, and ACI-530

As an entry-level engineer, you will work closely with licensed engineers and project managers, contributing to active civil / structural engineering projects and developing your technical skills, professional judgment, and industry knowledge.

  • Support civil / structural engineering project teams with design, analysis, and documentation tasks.

  • Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and technical exhibits under the supervision of licensed engineers.

As an engineering intern, you will work alongside licensed engineers and project managers, contributing to ongoing civil and structural engineering projects while expanding your technical skills and professional development.
